Spiritmaster, what to level, spirits and stigmas
- Updated
- 14 Oct 2026
- Based on
- Data from Korean players, Korean and Taiwanese forums, and global client tables
This is one of my working notes, not a notebook entry. I have not verified it in the global client: it is what I follow while I play, taken from the sources below. What I confirm moves to the notebook.
What kind of class it is
A summoner: it fights with a spirit at its side and wears the enemy down with damage over time and curses. The spirit takes the hits for you, so playing solo is very safe. The trade-off is a slow start: the damage is split between the spirit and you, and it shines in long fights.
It’s the least played class among the top Korean players. In their meta it sits at the very top for leveling and farming, and mid-table in dungeons.
If you’re just starting, the bare minimum
- Always keep a spirit summoned. While leveling, the water one: it’s the most stable, it fits everything and it gives you mana back. If it dies, summon it again; it takes 15 seconds.
- Left click (Cold Shock) against one enemy; right click (Combustion) against several. Those are the two buttons you’ll press the most.
- When Elemental Fusion lights up, press it. It’s your big hit and it doesn’t bank.
- Skill points: both clicks always at the highest level the game allows, and then the passive Spirit Strike. Korean players say not leveling it is the classic beginner mistake.
- At level 22, your first stigma: Summon: Ancient Spirit.
- Dimensional Control casts itself. You don’t need to press it.
That gets you to level 45 with no trouble. The rest of this page is for fine-tuning.
Names appear as in the English client.
The five spirits
Each one does a different job. It’s not cosmetic.
| Spirit | What it does | What for |
|---|---|---|
| Fire Spirit | Hits in an area and uses its skill the most often | The dungeon one: almost 70% run it. It moves worse than the others |
| Water Spirit | Single-target damage, and gives you mana back with every hit | When mana is the problem; comfortable while leveling |
| Earth Spirit | It’s a tank: taunts and soaks damage | Solo content and PvP |
| Wind Spirit | Area damage, and gives you back some health | Hardly used in Korea anymore |
| Ancient Spirit | It’s a stigma: lasts 30 seconds and hits very hard | The class’s number one |
Summon the spirit before you enter combat. Starting a boss without it means starting at half power.
The four elements and Elemental Fusion
- Every time a spirit uses its skill, you get an element.
- With four, you can cast Elemental Fusion, your strongest hit.
- While you hold all four you don’t gain more, so it doesn’t bank: cast it as soon as it’s up.
- The Ancient Spirit gives you all four at once every time it uses its skill. That’s why everyone runs this stigma.
What to level as you level up
The two clicks are Cold Shock (left, returns mana) and Combustion (right, area).
| Levels | Where the points go |
|---|---|
| 1 to 8 | Cold Shock and Combustion at the highest the game allows; then the passive Spirit Strike |
| 9 to 18 | Both clicks always maxed. Add Summon: Water Spirit, Jointstrike: Curse, Rapid Scattershot and Dimensional Control. For passives, Spirit’s Descent. The other three spirits at level 1 |
| 19 to 25 | First specializations at level 19. Summon: Water Spirit, Jointstrike: Curse and Rapid Scattershot to 8. Combustion and Spirit Strike to 10. First stigma at level 22 |
| 26 to 37 | Dimensional Control and Elemental Fusion to 8. Spirit’s Descent to 10 |
| 38 to 45 | Elemental Fusion and the four spirits to 10 |
A skill costs 13 points up to level 8 and 21 up to level 10.
In the endgame
What the Korean elite levels highest in PvE:
| Skill | Has it at level 20 or higher |
|---|---|
| Combustion | 76.9% |
| Elemental Fusion | 65.3% |
| Cold Shock | 46.1% |
| Summon: Fire Spirit | 33.9%. Taken to 16 and stopped there |
| Jointstrike: Curse | 23.2% |
| Dimensional Control | 14.2% |
The order Korean forums give for taking skills to 20 matches: Combustion, Elemental Fusion, Jointstrike: Curse and then Dimensional Control.
Specializations
One slot opens with the skill at level 8, two from 12 and three from 20. You have to equip them by hand.
| Skill | At level 8, to start | At level 12 | At level 16 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cold Shock | +20% mana recovered | +2% attack when chaining, up to +10% | 10% chance to remove a buff |
| Combustion | Up to +12% damage with fewer targets | +20% skill speed | Adds the Ashy Call chain |
| Elemental Fusion | Becomes an area hit | Can be charged, up to +200% damage | 25% chance to recover all four elements |
| Summon: Fire Spirit | +10% chance it uses its skill | 5% chance to knock down | +20% to all its stats |
| Jointstrike: Curse | Usable while moving | −2 s cooldown | Ignores block and evasion |
| Dimensional Control | +50% multi-hit | Pulls in nearby enemies | 30% chance to root |
The “+X% chance” ones for applying a status are useless in PvE: against a monster the status always lands.
Stigmas
They open at level 22. On the global client there are four slots, at levels 22, 27, 32 and 37.
| Order | Stigma | What it does | Run by |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Summon: Ancient Spirit | The spirit that gives all four elements | 98.1% |
| 2 | Enhance: Spirit’s Benediction | +20% damage and survivability for you and the spirit, 10 seconds | 97.9% |
| 3 | Flame Blessing | 10 seconds of extra damage on hit | 93.8% |
| 4 | Jointstrike: Corrode | 20 seconds of damage over time, and the enemy takes more damage from the spirit | 92.2% |
| Next | Siphon | Damage, and gives you back health and mana | 81.5% |
- While leveling: Summon: Ancient Spirit first, then Enhance: Spirit’s Benediction and then Flame Blessing, each to level 5 (5 shards).
- To take them to 20, the order Korean forums give is Enhance: Spirit’s Benediction, Summon: Ancient Spirit, Flame Blessing and Jointstrike: Corrode.
- Cast the buffs before summoning the Ancient Spirit, so it comes out already buffed.
- Cost: 1 shard per level up to 5, 2 up to 10, 4 up to 15 and 8 up to 20.
- In PvP almost all of them change: Command: Proxy, Seize Magic and Kaisinel’s Power come in, and the spirit becomes the earth one.
PvE rotation
Opening on a boss, with the fire spirit already summoned:
- Enhance: Spirit’s Benediction and Flame Blessing.
- Summon: Ancient Spirit.
- Jointstrike: Corrode and, on top of it, Jointstrike: Curse.
- Elemental Fusion as soon as the Ancient Spirit gives the four elements.
The rest of the fight:
- Elemental Fusion whenever you have four elements.
- Keep Jointstrike: Corrode and Jointstrike: Curse refreshed so you don’t lose the damage over time.
- As filler, Combustion with two or more enemies and Cold Shock with just one.
- Dimensional Control casts itself; you don’t need to press anything.
Gear
- On the weapon: combat speed and weapon damage amplification.
- Accuracy before crit. A good part of the damage is statuses that have to land.
- Some HP: you wear cloth and the spirit doesn’t always cover you.
- Order given by a Taiwanese guide: damage amplification, accuracy up to about 1,400, attack and critical damage.
- Passives worth having on your gear: Spirit Strike, Mental Focus and Element Unification.
Daevanion
The first twelve Nezekan nodes aion2-meta suggests, by type: Attack +3, Defense +30, Critical Hit +5, Corrode +1, Attack +3, HP +100, Critical Hit +5, Critical Hit Resist +5, Attack +3, HP +100, Summon: Earth Spirit +1 and Critical Hit +5. In their guide each node has its order number above it.
The IMPERIUM guide says to start with the Ariel board. That board doesn’t exist on the global client yet.
Mistakes that cost damage
- Starting the fight without a spirit.
- Holding Elemental Fusion instead of casting it.
- Letting Jointstrike: Corrode and Jointstrike: Curse drop.
- Taking the fire spirit into PvP.
Patch changes
- 14 October 2026: they fixed the Ancient Spirit not casting its skills properly with the stigma at level 15 or lower. It’s not a power change: now it does what its description already said. The full patch.
What I haven’t checked
None of this has been seen on my screen: I play Gladiator. It comes from the guides below, and the percentages are from Korean players, who are a year ahead.
