The 14 October patch, Halloween and server transfers

Updated
14 Oct 2026
Based on
Patch notes, maintenance and transfer notices and the producer's letter, published by NCSOFT on Steam; the Ludra part comes from the press and guides

This is one of my working notes, not a notebook entry. I have not verified it in the global client: it is what I follow while I play, taken from the sources below. What I confirm moves to the notebook.

The maintenance

The one on Wednesday 14 October 2026 started at 08:30 Spanish time and was planned to last four hours: back around 12:30. At 10:46 NCSOFT had not announced any delay. As happened on 8 October, the return is not always announced: the safe bet is to try logging in.

What changes the most

  • Odyle Energy (Bound) at Wind Breeze Merchants, Special tab: the limit goes from 4 to 20 per character per week, and the cap of 16 per server is gone. NCSOFT ties this to the transfer period.
  • While transfers last, Instant Clear Ticket: Daily Dungeon (Bound) and Soul Crystal (Bound) leave that tab and move to Substance Morph, Special tab.
  • Abyss Rift Stone for Kina: 50,000 each, 7 per character per week, from level 45. Until the 28 October maintenance (Conquerors of the Abyss event).
  • Lower Abyss Rift Stone on sale in the same tab for two weeks.
  • Two weekly Abyss quests now give Abyss Entry Stones: spend one hour in the Abyss, and defeat the boss Guardian Lord Nahma once.
  • Abyss entry time stacks up to 7 hours.
  • Battlefield: the normalised stats are adjusted so fights last longer.
  • Market: a new system limits listing gathering materials for sale based on each player’s play history. NCSOFT doesn’t say how it is calculated. It targets bots, but it also hits people who gather to sell.

Fixes and new options

  • Game crashes with certain refresh rates on 4K monitors.
  • Longer than normal loading with FSR.
  • Wrong graphics settings on PCs with two graphics cards.
  • Graphics settings are no longer saved to Steam Cloud. After the patch, it’s worth checking they are still the way you had them.
  • In the Shugo Festival, your position reset when you reconnected.
  • Less stuttering in large Abyss battles.
  • An option to invert the Y axis, and another to show or hide health bars under “Show My Nameplate”.

Classes

Only two change, and these are fixes, not balance changes. Gladiator, Templar, Assassin, Ranger, Cleric and Chanter get nothing.

Class Skill Fix
Spiritmaster Summon: Ancient Spirit With the stigma at level 15 or lower, the spirit didn’t cast its skills properly
Sorcerer Fire Wall The bonus damage from height difference didn’t apply; and another player’s stronger Embers wiped out yours
Sorcerer Cold Storm Same thing, with Frostbite
Sorcerer Bittercold Wind Frost’s cooldown reduction failed with a height difference

Halloween, from 14 October to 4 November

Everything revolves around one currency, the Halloween Pumpkin Coin (Event).

Server transfers

NCSOFT gave the details on 9 October in two notices, one on prices and one with questions and answers.

  • One transfer per account for the whole period, from one server to another. But in that transfer you can take as many characters as you want from that server.
  • Free: 0 Quna base and 0 Quna per character. You only pay 1,000 Quna for each character slot missing on the destination server.
  • Dates: early access servers, 14 to 21 October; launch servers, 21 to 28 October. Early access servers can only move to other early access servers.
  • Hours in Europe: every day from 12:00 to 16:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00, Spanish time. Outside those hours the button won’t let you.
  • Same faction and same region. Each server has a quota of departures and arrivals: once it fills up, you can’t.

Requirements for each character: level 10 or higher; be in a town (not in the Abyss, a Spacetime Rift or a dungeon); not be in a legion or have a pending application; no active Duty Quests; nothing listed or waiting to be collected on the Market; nothing left unclaimed in Shop Storage or the mail.

What happens: your name becomes “@TemporaryName” and you choose a new one when you log in (if yours is taken there, you don’t get it back). The Kina in the character’s inventory and warehouse goes with you, not the Kina in Server Storage: move whatever you want to take beforehand. Quna, Mileage, membership, Daeva Pass, appearances, pets, wings, Arcana, Monolith, season points and quest progress travel with you. Shop purchase limits don’t reset: you keep the higher of the two servers. It can’t be undone.

Ludra is coming back

Ludra is the boss of the first 10-player raid, Abyssal Forge: Ludra, with two groups of five. NCSOFT removed it on 7 October because in early access players cleared it with less gear than expected. The producer’s letter confirms it is coming back. According to the press, they will share the details by 16 October at the latest, along with an event for the first to clear it, and it will arrive with new mechanics specific to the global version: Korean guides may not help. Ludra gear obtained in early access will be refunded along with the enhancement materials.

From 14 October to 25 November. NCSOFT’s prices in dollars; they may differ in each store.

Product Price
Monarch of Blood (with cape), Midnight Witch and Midnight Slasher appearance sets $29.99 each
Halloween Night weapon appearance, one per class $11.99
Pumpkin Carriage and Little Ghost pets $19.99 each
Spider Wings $19.99
Halloween helmets and face accessories 300 Quna each

Bans

At 09:00 on 14 October NCSOFT banned 9,422 accounts for botting, gold farming and real-money trading. Separately, it has temporarily locked some accounts for security reasons when it detects a suspicious login: it is not a ban, and you get the account back by writing to support.

What I have seen myself and what I haven’t

Nothing on this page has been checked in my client yet: I wrote it during the maintenance, reading NCSOFT’s notices. When I log in, I’ll check the Odyle Energy limit, the merchant in Verteron and whether my graphics settings are still the same.
