Cleric, rotation, what to level and stigmas

This is one of my working notes, not a notebook entry. I have not verified it in the global client: it is what I follow while I play, taken from the sources below. What I confirm moves to the notebook.
What kind of class it is
The game’s healer, with mace and shield or with a staff. Every dungeon and every raid wants one, and it’s very hard to kill. The trade-off: it levels slowly solo, because it hits weakly early on and attacks slowly.
One detail changes how it’s played: top Korean players don’t run it as heal-and-wait, but hitting all the time and healing when needed. That’s why this page talks so much about damage.
If you’re just starting, the bare minimum
- Left click (Earth’s Retribution) and right click (Judgment Thunder) nonstop. They have no cooldown. The left one gives you mana back with every hit; the right one hits several enemies.
- Before hitting hard, mark the enemy: Debilitating Mark and Chain of Torment.
- With Chain of Torment on, Condemnation. It’s your main hit, and without the chain it underperforms. When it resets, press it again.
- Bolt and Divine Aura, every time they’re ready. Bolt charges while you hold the button: release it fully charged.
- Heal yourself before you’re in trouble: Light of Regeneration at the start of a long fight, Healing Light if your HP drops.
- Skill points: both clicks always as high as the game allows. Heals, later.
That gets you to level 45. The rest of this page is for fine-tuning.
Names are as they appear in the English client.
The buttons
With the level each one is learned at, according to the global client tables.
| Skill | Level | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Earth’s Retribution | 1 | Left click. Hits and restores 110 mana. No cooldown |
| Judgment Thunder | 1 | Right click. Hits up to 4 enemies. No cooldown |
| Debilitating Mark | 1 | Mark: the enemy deals less damage. 10 s cooldown |
| Divine Aura | 3 | Damage over time around you. 30 s |
| Chain of Torment | 4 | Hits and makes the enemy take more damage. 20 s |
| Lightning Strike Scattershot | 5 | Only against stunned or knocked-down enemies |
| Light of Regeneration | 7 | Heals gradually over 30 s. 30 s |
| Condemnation | 8 | The big hit. Needs Chain of Torment on the enemy. 3 s |
| Healing Light | 10 | Heals the group member with the lowest HP. 6 s |
| Radiant Recovery | 12 | Heals and removes one debuff. 12 s |
| Bolt | 14 | Charged hit, three charge levels. 45 s |
| Defiance | 16 | Frees you from stuns and knockdowns. 60 s |
The rotation
Leveling, against normal enemies:
- Debilitating Mark.
- Chain of Torment and, right after, Condemnation.
- Right click (Judgment Thunder) as filler. If Condemnation resets, press it.
- Left click (Earth’s Retribution) when mana runs low.
- Charged Bolt and Divine Aura, whenever they’re ready.
- If the enemy is knocked down or stunned, Lightning Strike Scattershot.
Against a group of enemies, right click does almost all the work: it hits four at once.
Against a boss or in a dungeon. Ten seconds before the pull:
- Light of Protection, if you run it: more damage and more survivability for the group.
- Noble Aura.
- Light of Regeneration.
And once in combat:
- Chain of Torment and Debilitating Mark, always up.
- Earth Punishment, which is a stigma: heavy damage plus damage over time.
- Prayer of Amplification, if you run it, before the burst.
- Condemnation again and again as it resets.
- Left click alongside Condemnation; right click while Condemnation is on cooldown.
- Charged Bolt and Divine Aura, as they come off cooldown.
When you need to heal:
| Situation | What to press |
|---|---|
| Several people are losing HP | Radiant Recovery: heals and cleanses |
| Someone is about to die | Healing Light, several times in a row |
| A big boss hit is coming | Heal or protect before it lands, not after |
| Someone has died | Summon Resurrection, which is a stigma |
The rule every guide repeats: don’t stand still waiting to heal. While nobody needs it, hit.
Mana
- Left click restores 110 mana per hit. That’s how you get it back.
- Between skills, let the character land basic attacks: they count too.
- Guides recommend target-lock aiming mode instead of action mode, so those attacks don’t get interrupted.
What to level while leveling
| Levels | Where the points go |
|---|---|
| 1 to 8 | Earth’s Retribution and Judgment Thunder as high as the game allows |
| 9 to 18 | Both clicks always maxed. Add the passive Empyrean Lord’s Grace, Lightning Strike Scattershot for bosses, and Bolt |
| 19 to 25 | Both clicks to 8 at level 19, which is where the first specialization unlocks. The passive Earth’s Grace to 10 as soon as you learn it, at level 21. Both clicks to 10 at level 25 |
| 26 to 38 | Damage skills as they become available to level: Condemnation, Chain of Torment, Divine Aura. Bolt to 10 at level 38 |
| 39 to 45 | Any missing passives and whatever is left |
A skill costs 13 points to reach level 8 and 21 to reach level 10.
The typical mistake is leveling heals too early. Until level 45 you do almost everything solo, and what you need is to kill faster.
Endgame
What top Korean players level highest in PvE:
| Skill | Share with it at level 20 or higher |
|---|---|
| Radiant Recovery | 78.2% |
| Condemnation | 75% |
| Earth’s Retribution | 58.2% |
| Healing Light | 57.1% |
| Bolt | 48.5% |
| Judgment Thunder | 46.7% |
| Light of Regeneration | 45.3% |
| Divine Aura | 43.1% |
Korean guides ask for at least Condemnation at 20, and Judgment Thunder, Radiant Recovery, Healing Light and Light of Regeneration at 16. On global, skills cap at 20.
Specializations
One slot opens with the skill at level 8, two from 12 and three from 20. You have to equip them manually. What you pick at level 8:
| Skill | At level 8 |
|---|---|
| Earth’s Retribution | +20% mana restored |
| Judgment Thunder | Up to +12% damage with fewer targets |
| Debilitating Mark | −15% enemy defense |
| Divine Aura | +50% attack speed against bosses; the area one for farming |
| Chain of Torment | +3 s duration |
| Condemnation | Up to +12% damage with fewer targets |
| Bolt | +30% skill speed |
| Healing Light | Two more uses in a row |
| Radiant Recovery | −3 s cooldown |
| Defiance | Restores 10% HP when used |
I don’t have the level 12 and 16 ones written down.
Stigmas
They unlock at level 22 and each one is learned with a shard. On global there are 13 per class and four slots, at levels 22, 27, 32 and 37.
| Stigma | What it does | Run in PvE by |
|---|---|---|
| Light of Protection | More damage and survivability for the group | 98.4% |
| Noble Aura | Damage aura that lasts 5 minutes | 93.6% |
| Earth Punishment | Heavy hit and 10 s of damage over time | 91.9% |
| Benevolence | Heals the group gradually over 20 s | 86.8% |
| Prayer of Amplification | +20% attack for 10 s | 85.2% |
| Absolution | Big heal that removes two debuffs | 80.4% |
| Summon Resurrection | Resurrects an ally | 79.2% |
- While leveling, one guide’s order: Summon Resurrection learned at level 22, because groups expect the healer to resurrect; then Earth Punishment, Noble Aura and Benevolence, each at level 5.
- Light of Protection is the top pick in the endgame. If there’s a Chanter in the group with theirs, only the higher-level one counts.
- Cost: 1 shard per level up to 5, 2 up to 10, 4 up to 15 and 8 up to 20.
Knocking bosses down (Stagger)
Some bosses, like Bakarma in Draupnir or Berk in Krao Cave, bring up a Stagger bar. If the group doesn’t fill it in time, everyone dies. What fills the bar, according to metabot’s global client skill pages:
| Skill | Fills |
|---|---|
| Power Burst | 50 |
| Bolt | 20 to 35, depending on charge |
| Earth Punishment | 20 (stigma) |
| Condemnation | 7 |
| Judgment Thunder | 2 |
Lightning Strike Scattershot doesn’t fill the bar: it hits the boss harder once it’s down. In practice, save Power Burst, charged Bolt and Earth Punishment for when the bar shows up.
Gear
- While leveling: attack, crit and accuracy, plus combat speed on the weapon, bracers and gloves. The class attacks slowly, and that’s what you notice most.
- In the endgame, top players run damage stats, not healing.
- Passives worth having on your gear: Earth’s Grace and Empyrean Lord’s Grace.
Daevanion
The first twelve Nezekan nodes that aion2-meta suggests, by type: Attack, Defense, Critical Hit, Healing Enhancement +1, Attack, HP, Defense, Healing Light +1, Critical Hit, Empyrean Lord’s Grace +1, Attack and HP. In their guide each node has its order number above it.
Mistakes the guides keep pointing out
- Standing still waiting to heal instead of hitting.
- Casting Condemnation without Chain of Torment up.
- Releasing Bolt before it’s fully charged.
- Leveling heals before reaching level 45.
- Not running Summon Resurrection.
- Holding Absolution until it’s too late.
What I haven’t verified
None of this has been seen on my screen: I play Gladiator. It comes from the guides below, and the percentages are from Korean players, who are a year ahead. The numbers for each skill are at level 1 on the global client.
