Nodes don't show up on the map until you spend a point

What people say

Almost no guide mentions it. A Korean one advises putting at least one point into each resource “so it shows up on the minimap”, and a wiki page mentions a search ability for each node type.

What happens

With zero specialization points, the minimap marks nothing: you have to spot nodes with your own eyes. When I put a point into the Odyle branch, Odyle started showing up on the map.

You earn one specialization point every ten mastery levels, so the first one comes at Novice 10.

What to do

Put your first specialization point into the resource you most want to see. And if the map marks Odyle and you can’t find it, look up: it floats.
