What people say
The Special Quai Membership costs €12.75 for 30 days and “opens the Market”. It’s every guide’s main argument for buying it: without it you can’t trade with other players.
What happens
I bought the membership on launch day, with my character at level 11. The Market is still closed: it opens at level 45, which is the max level in the global client.
Until then, the membership gives you the rest of its perks, but everything you gather or loot can only be stored.
On 9 October, now at level 45, the Market opened. It has four tabs (Main, List, Settlement and Settlement Details), a recommended gear section for your character and ten favorites. The tax showed 10%: you get 90% of each sale. On top of that, listing an item costs a 2% registration fee: for 2 Radiant Odyle at 389,000 it was 15,560. You have 10 sale slots at a time.
That day, crafted gear from the Artisan’s Splendent line was selling for between 12 and 49 million Kina, and sealed expedition wings from about 440,000.
What to do
If you’re buying the membership to sell, there’s no rush to pay for it before you reach 45. If you already have it, use the remote storage to stash materials: you’ll sell them when you get there.
