In Genus Insight, one analysis fills every slot of a genus and also levels it up

What people say

In Korea they call it “race comprehension”: every pet belongs to a genus, leveling pets raises that genus’s level up to 9, and each level opens a stat slot that rolls at random. They advise against spending on rerolls early on.

What happens

Pets window, Genus Insight tab. There are five genera: Cogni, Fera, Natura, Varian and Special. I had Cogni at level 2, Fera, Natura and Varian at 3 and Special at 1: twelve open slots, all on “Analyzable”, that is, giving nothing.

The Analyze button costs a few units of a green currency and 2,000 Kina (3,000 for level 3 genera). One analysis per genus:

• filled all of that genus’s slots at once;
• added experience to the genus: 200 for Cogni, 300 for Fera, Natura and Varian, 100 for Special.

Mostly defensive stats came up (evasion, crit resist, block, HP) and a few offensive ones (crit, PvE attack). The best ones show in green, and each line has a lock to keep it in the next analysis.

What to do

Analyze each genus at least once: for a few thousand Kina it gives you stats you didn’t have before. Rerolling and using the locks can wait until you have Kina to spare, and it levels up the genus along the way.
